To support its development and meet new regulatory requirements, Digital Med called on Infortive, a specialist in interim management, to help it recruit an interim CTO. Frédéric Chamla, President of Digital Med, looks back on this fruitful collaboration.

Could you tell us about your collaboration with Infortive?

At Digital Med, we have several medical devices, one of which is our flagship: an ECG (electrocardiograph) connected to a reading center via which cardiologists help the doctor to read the ECG tracing in real time. Up until now, we've billed our customers, the healthcare professionals, for this service, but with the introduction of amendment 9, which changed the regulations in favor of tele-expertise, our business model has had to be adapted. We can now add value to these acts by setting up a platform that declares all the expert appraisals we carry out to the social security authorities. A senior developer developed this mobile application for us (the doctor uses an iPad to connect with our specialists). 

We realized that we needed someone who understood the global vision and strategic dimension of our project. So I realized that we needed a CTO who could steer this project with real business expertise and vision. That's when I started looking for an expert to accompany us.

How did you discover Infortive?

I activated my network and also searched the internet for agencies specializing in CTO recruitment. That's how I came across Infortive. The seriousness of their site made me want to contact them.
The responsiveness of their team was exemplary. I was immediately put in touch with Hajar Zine Eddine, General Manager in charge of the sales team. 24 hours later, we had a first meeting, and that same evening I had a proposal detailing my needs, the typical profile and scheduled appointments with 3 CTOs in the target group.

Did you know that you needed an interim manager for this CTO role?

Initially, I knew we needed a CTO, but I was having trouble defining our exact requirements. In discussions with Infortive and my network, it quickly became clear that this role required more than just a technician: we needed someone who could set a roadmap, manage deadlines and have a detailed understanding of our business, namely tele-expertise or telemedicine.

Above all, I was looking for someone with a real business approach, able to set up a schedule, stick to it and understand our B2B environment, where we work closely with doctors. Infortive was able to meet these expectations perfectly, offering me 3 relevant profiles in a very short space of time.

How did you perceive the Transition Manager's approach?

The Transition Manager demonstrated incredible pedagogy and great communication skills. He was able to simplify the technical aspects while maintaining constant transparency. He met all the deadlines and quickly integrated the team. It was exemplary support, which I can sum up in one word: efficiency.

What did you think of Infortive's support?

Responsive, intelligent, always well positioned, caring. If I had to rate them, I'd say 10/10. Our business will certainly be expanding over the next 18 to 24 months, and I already know that Infortive will be the partner of choice to support us in these matters. 

What can be improved or done differently?

Honestly, I don't know, I'd like my company to be structured in the same way as yours, with people of such competence and kindness, that's all I can say. I'm delighted with this collaboration!
