Our Transition Management methodology
Infortive methodology, from project launch to completion
Infortive was created by Transition Managers who were pioneers in the IT business: Pierre Fauquenot and Hervé Bébin. The multitude of assignments they have carried out has enabled them to identify a common methodology for successful missions.
We pass on our experience on an ongoing basis to other Interim Managers via their support during assignments, as well as to our sales staff via ongoing training.
Our project management methodology
Transition Management is a tripartite relationship between the Company, the Intervener and Infortive Transition.
- TheCompany as client has an idea of what it wants to achieve by using a Transition Manager. This could be moving from A to B for transformation or crisis management assignments, or ensuring management continuity as part of job-holding assignments (interim).
- TheIntervenant performing the mission
- InfortiveTransition 's role is to support the customer in the cycle of expressing the need, in the search for the stakeholder, and during the monitoring of the mission and its conclusion.
Founded and run by interim CIOs, Infortive is an expert in interim IT management. Our approach is to respond to your needs in a "hand-sewn" fashion, based on a robust methodology.
1) Expressing your needs and enriching your specifications
Our support begins as soon as you express your needs. We listen to your problems and, thanks to our expertise, we help you to enrich your specifications.
Infortive's experts draw up the brief for the assignment and seek to identify the experience and skills best suited to the task.
We draw up an engagement letter summarizing your needs and our understanding of them, along with a description of Infortive's methodology and the main stages of the mission.
We validate it together.
2) Our answer
We identify the IT Transition Managers best suited to your needs, in terms of both technical and managerial know-how and soft skills, essential to the success of your project.
In the case of the CIO function, this is a complex business, as it is as much managerial as technological. The CIO needs to be able to rely on an ecosystem of partners (network of CIOs, suppliers, etc.), without which nothing can be done. The fact that the interim CIO is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience and market knowledge, as well as knowledge of relevant suppliers, is an undeniable asset to the success of the assignment.
Our in-depth knowledge of the IT department enables us to select the candidates best suited to the customer's needs.
We'll introduce you to the Transition Managers we think are best suited to carry out the assignment, either at your premises or at Infortive's (or by videoconference), depending on your confidentiality constraints.
As the human factor is essential to support a transformation, you'll choose the most suitable personality, with whom you can make the most progress on the mission.
3) The launch
At the start of the assignment, we ensure that the Interim Manager has taken full ownership of his objectives, and together we define the assignment's roadmap and the means of communicating about it.
On arrival, the Transition Manager carries out an in-depth analysis to understand the organization's unique challenges and opportunities.
It then implements appropriate transformation strategies, aimed at optimizing processes, strengthening teams and stimulating innovation.
Finally, the departure is planned to ensure a lasting transition, leaving the company in a strong position and ready for the future.
4) Mission follow-up
We support the interim manager throughout his assignment.
Monitoring of the assignment is a tripartite process: the company, the Transition Manager and Infortive monitor the progress of the assignment.
A CIO mentor can accompany the Transition Manager on his mission, providing both support and challenge. The mentor intervenes at key stages in the project's progress, to ensure that objectives are met.
Meetings are scheduled at key stages of the mission. These are moments of exchange that structure the mission:
- Understanding the mission and drafting the roadmap
- Project progress at key stages
- End-of-assignment review and feedback from customer and manager
The guiding principle of Transition Management is to arrive, transform and leave.
When you place your trust in Infortive, you also benefit from the strength of our network of interim managers.
Throughout their assignment, Interim Managers can draw on an active community of over 90 CIOs & CTOs who can advise them and share their experiences.
